It was around ten pm on a Monday and although we were guaranteed a dry afternoon, it hadn't given up on pouring! Ray and me were relaxing going over the sports rankings, at the ready for the 8th job for the day to arrive. Inevitably we got a phone call from a woman on a business excursion who had arrived at the Shell petrol garage in Thornley and filled the wrong fuel in a diesel Smart rental. She was somewhat agitated apparently, crying "I simply cannot believe I have wrecked the vehicle! I am just so accustomed to putting petrol in my petrol vehicle I had did not remember I was driving a diesel!" I just asked her to settle back and not to fret, and that these things unfortunately often happen. She managed to maneuver the vehicle into a protected area and, since it was only a few minutes from us, we could get to her rather quickly. The bad fuel was cleaned up and removed and she could once again go back to the motel she was living at. Despite the fact we got really soaked, it was all worth the time to watch her drive away satisfied and much less apprehensive. One more misfuel correction in County Durham well done in my books!

AdBlue In Your Diesel
What to do in case you?ve put Adblue in a Diesel tank? AdBlue is a liquid made out of a mixture of deionized water (67.5%) and urea.It is definitely disastrous to your automobile's fuel system, specifically any time you run the engine with Adblue in your diesel fuel tank. As soon as the engine has been started the Adblue will likely be injected into the fuel lines and will swiftly begin to crystalise, causing disastrous and expensive damage to your vehicle's fuel system.
If perhaps you have put AdBlue into the fuel tank remove it as soon as possible. And definitely never start up the vehicle - not even to shift it into a parking place. If perhaps you did start the vehicle you would in all probability need to have the whole fuel system flushed and filters changed out.
Fuel contaminated with water
Fuel contaminated with water, irrespective of whether it's unleaded petrol or diesel, is generally a significant matter to take care of in an automobile - specifically in current day common-rail engines. Water in your fuel tank will contribute to idling difficulties, irregular running, abnormal smoke and, if it is not taken care of properly, quite possibly ruined injectors. Water in petrol is less complicated to remove as compared with water in diesel - this is primarily because diesel is an oil. Even so we can resolve both circumstances quite quickly.
Take note however that so long as the vehicle has been run on the fuel contaminated with water it will quite possible require a new fuel filter to be installed since the previous one will probably be completely water-logged and unusable.
